I love the '80s

Although I was too busy talking to a friend to realize, I passed by Anthony Michael Hall during my hike today. It was rather strange since I have seen him a lot on television lately. He is a staple of the "I love the '80's" series on VH1 (Which I recommend watching now, just so we can collectively laugh at ourselves. Oh, come on you know you had big hair.) His co-star in Weird Science, Kelly LeBrock, is also on VH1 on the "Celebrity Fit Club."

A lot of you will know him from the being part of the "Brat Pack". He was in a lot of popular '80s movies like Sixteen Candles , The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. John Hughes was the god of '80s film and wrote parts especially for Anthony Michael Hall.

These movies, although extremely popular and ones that I have watched a few times each, came too early for me to appreciate them. For example I was 8 when Sixteen Candles came out and could not understand the anti-authority angle of the Breakfast Club at age 9. In fact I did not see it until after I was 21. During this time, I felt more commonality with Hughes' Mr. Mom than any of his teen movies.

Weird Science is on Comcast's On Demand right now. I am feeling kind of nostalgic so maybe I'll watch it today.
