We are not men, we are Devo

What I love about Los Angeles is its propensity to provide one of a kind experiences. From surprise Q & As from directors after the film to flash mob at Hollywood and Highland.

I took part in one such one of a kind experience a few weeks ago. (wow, I guess I haven't written in a while) I had the pleasure of seeing Devo at Hollywood Park. Hollywood Park is not to be confused with the Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood Park is in fact a race track smack dab in the middle of Inglewood. I must admit that watching horseracing made me nostalgic for the Arlington days, dressing up, watching the horses parade around and picking the one we thought would win.

Anyway I digress.

I didn't bet this time. I have learned that after 30 + years that I just don't win things.

It seemed all of Los Feliz and Silver Lake (hipsterville) descended on Hollywood Park to see Devo in their fedoras and capes??

I was pleasantly surprised that after all these years Devo still offers a very consistent, excellent show with many costume changes. I wasn't really a Devo fan before, but now am and found myself singing along to songs I didn't even know they did.

The planes flying in to LAX added and oh my god, I can't believe I am here factor.

I heard that they played the Minnesota Zoo and I am not sure, but perhaps a Petco in Cleveland
