As I am preparing to go back to Minnesota I am thinking about all the things I want to do when I am home.
1. See family, of course
2. Walk around one of the lakes in the Minneapolis chain of lakes
3. Eat food cooked on the grill, the majority of the days
4. See lightning bugs
5. Experience a downpour
6. See lightning, storm or heat
7. See a movie I secretly want to see, but would be too embarrassed to tell anyone about because up north movies cost a lot less to see
8. Go to the DQ
9. Eat lake fish
10. lay on the good floaty in the pool and read and have a beer
I am sure there is more, but I need to save some room for being spontaneous.

What are "they" wearing
It seems like everywhere I go this summer the staple must have is TOMS . What are TOMS you may ask? I guess the best answer is the keds of this generation. And like this generation they have a social justice angle; every pair you buy means another pair donated to a child in a third world country.
Is this an advertisement for TOMS? No. You just wanted to know what was going on fashion-wise on LA, but if you bought a pair, that wouldn't be so bad.

i knew...
I knew it would happen sooner or later. I knew that this experiment of a blog, my love affair with Los Angeles, would bring someone out here. My fiendish plan worked.
